Boeing is preparing the first 747-400ER for its maiden flight next month, after roll-out at Everett, Washington, on 17 June. The General Electric CF6-80C2-powered aircraft, now undergoing ground checks, is one of two -400ERs that will take part in the test programme before first delivery to Qantas in October. The first 747-400ER Freighter will also be delivered that month, to Air France.
