EADS Casa last week delivered the Brazilian air force's first of 12 C-295s. The medium transports will contribute to the Amazon Protection System and the Calha Norte Project, aimed at supporting people in remote Amazon areas, replacing de Havilland Canada C-115s. Meanwhile, Poland has ordered two C-295s, to add to eight it already operates.
