EUROCOPTER ALLIANCE
Eurocopter and Indonesia's PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) have renewed their partnership for another five years in which PTDT "aids the sale of Eurocopter helicopters in Indonesia". Since 2008, PTDI has produced airframes for the AS332 Super Puma helicopter at its Bandung factory and has undertaken licensed production of the BO105 light helicopter, and Puma SA330 transport helicopter for the last 30 years. PTDI president Budi Santoso said: "Indonesia has been viewed as one of the most dynamic helicopter markets in Southeast Asia not only because of its vast land area and island archipelago, but also to the fact that there are many ageing helicopter fleets that need replacement in the coming years."
MILLIONS IN CALGARY
Million Air has signed a multi-year lease agreement for the construction and development of its third Candian fixed-based operation - this time at Calgary International airport. Building work on the $12 million facility is scheduled to begin this year, with the first phase set for completion in 2012.
AMBEO RELOCATES
Charter company Ambeo has reloacated from Marshall Business Aviation Centre in Cambridge to London Stansted as part of an ambitious expansion plan, it says. The privately owned operator of two Cessna Citation Mustangs says: "The move was necessary to meet the company's goals for continued expansion of its services and core capabilities, including the provision of bespoke aircraft management services." Ambeo's UK-based Mustang will now be based at The Inflite Executive Jet Centre, and the second from its base at Paris Le Bourget airport in France.
VNUKOVO FUEL SALES
Russias state-controlled oil giant Rosneft and two other local oil firms are in talks to buy a 30-50% stake in the refueling complex at Moscow's Vnukovo airport, home to Russia's largest dedicated business aviation facility, for $620 million, the airports deputy general director Vitaly Vantsev said. The refueling complex is owned by four corporate entities but soon all the assets will be assigned to one company whose shares will be offered to Rosneft.
