G450 SPEED RECORD
A large-cabin, long-range Gulfstream G450 business jet has established a city-pair speed record between the airframers headquarters in Savannah and São Paulo - completing the 3,922nm (7,255km) flight in less than 9h. The average cruise speed for the flight was Mach 0.80, with altitudes ranging from 41,000ft (12,500m) to 45,000ft. The Savannah-São Paulo record had previously been unclaimed.
FBO UNVEILING
ExecuJet Europe and Advanced Air Support have opened a new fixed-base operation at Paris Le Bourget airport. The FBO has undergone a full refurbishment and will now incorporate the joint branding and style of both companies. Facilities include a 16,000m2 (172,000ft2) private hangar and 18,000m2 of aircraft parking, two passenger lounges, a pilot lounge and two bedrooms with en-suites for crew and passengers. This is the third Europe-based FBO for ExecuJet and their seventh worldwide. Further expansion is planned.
