BOEING MD-90 It may not be as fashionable as newer-generation narrowbodies like the Airbus A320 or Boeing 737, but Delta Air Lines has been singing the praises of this IAE V2500-powered McDonnell Douglas DC-9 derivative, saying it plans to add two MD-90s to its fleet this year. Chief executive Richard Anderson says the twinjet has "far superior economics to a 737-800 and a very similar range and customer attributes". Delta has 16 MD-90s in its fleet.
