Credit Agricole CIB organised $5 billion-worth of aircraft finance transactions in the first five months of 2016.
The French bank has disclosed 28 debt transactions – totalling nearly $2.1 billion – it arranged during the January-May period. The structures include French tax leases for Turkish Airlines and JOLCOs for Air France, Emirates and KLM, in addition to US Export-Import Bank-backed loans for Silk Way Airlines, with guarantees approved before that bank shut down.
In addition to helping American Airlines and United Airlines raise a collective amount of almost $3 billion in EETCs this year, Credit Agricole CIB helped Aircastle raise $500 million-worth of senior secured notes in March. This was followed by AerCap's $1 billion-worth of senior secured notes, which closed in May.
