CAE Electronics has opened a £13 million ($21 million) facility at Burgess Hill in the UK, bringing under one roof operations that had been spread over several UK sites.

The move allows CAE's UK arm, best known for military land systems simulation work, to grow, particularly in flight simulation work. The Canadian company is involved in the privately financed £275 million UK Ministry of Defence Medium Support Helicopter training programme and is part of the TeamAstor consortium, led by Lockheed Martin, vying for a £750 million airborne standoff radar contract.
