British firm Octec has unveiled its Compact Airborne Automatic Video Tracking System (CAATS) to Paris Show visitors. The system is already in operation with police in Sussex, England.

Octec also produces the ADEPT range of automatic video trackers which includes everything from single target versions through to multiple target detection and acquisition products.

The British Army Air Corps and the US Navy are among the organisations to have invested in the technology.

The company (Hall 2/J12) has also used its precision calibration expertise to carve a niche in the weapon alignment field. Octec's Gun-bore Alignment and Analysis System has been developed to operate under dynamic conditions.
