Cathay Pacific Airways has been named by Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (Hactl) as its first customer for a new direct bonded freight shipment service to southern China.

Hactl says that under its new SuperLink China Direct service, offered by subsidiary Hong Kong Air Cargo Industry Services, "goods will be cleared on arrival in Hong Kong and transported via a sealed truck to Guangzhou's Baiyun Airport, where customs clearance procedures will take place".

"At this point goods can either be collected by the consignee or carried onward by China Southern Airlines to the cities it serves across China," Hactl says.
