China Eastern Airlines subsidiary China Cargo Airlines has finalised an agreement with Boeing to acquire two 747-400 freighters, worth $430 million at list prices. China Cargo will take delivery of the aircraft in July 2006 and August 2007. Meanwhile, Dutch financial group Rabobank has contracted the Bedek group of Israel Aircraft Industries Bedek division to convert two 747-400s from passenger to cargo configuration. The first conversion is to begin in February with delivery following in September. The deal increases Bedek’s 747-400 conversion backlog to 20 aircraft.
