Continental Airlines’s website has set a single-day sales record of $8.5 million and posted record sales volume of $2 billion for the 12 months to the end of July. Continental sells more than 30% of its domestic tickets over the web.
Ramp workers, cargo agents, and operations personnel at Continental Airlines have voted not to unionise. The election decision was a blow to the Transport Workers Union of America, which represents thousands at American Airlines. But the union has won an election at Pinnacle Airlines.
