• Lockheed Martin has received a $385 million follow-on contract for production of 219 Arrowhead targeting systems for US Army and export Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopters.
  • L-3 Spar Aerospace is to replace the outer wings on five Royal Norwegian Air Force Lockheed Martin C-130 transports under a $41 million contract. The Canadian company will complete the upgrade early next year.
  • Lockheed Martin has received a $116 million US Navy contract modification to integrate the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter with the UK’s CVF Future Aircraft Carrier by October 2013. To be performed under the JSF system development and demonstration phase, 57% of the work will be conducted by BAE Systems.
  • Standard Aero has signed a buying agreement with NATO through which member nations can source maintenance services for the Rolls-Royce T56 turboprop engines that power their Lockheed Martin C-130 transports and P-3 maritime patrol aircraft.
  • Elta Systems has received a $22 million contract from the Israeli defence ministry to provide a national geospatial real-time image intelligence centre to automatically process images obtained by platforms including space-based sensors and unmanned air vehicles. n L-3 Wescam has begun immediate delivery of 60 MX-15 electro-optical/infrared-imaging turrets to upgrade US Air Force Special Operations Command Lockheed Martin MC-130Hs and MC-130Ps.
  • Raytheon is to produce 10 upgraded ALR-69A(V) all-digital radar warning systems for testing on US Air Force Fairchild A-10, Lockheed Martin C-130 and F-16 and Sikorsky MH-53 aircraft under a $9 million contract.
  • CAE is to provide software upgrades and support for the Canadian Forces’ Boeing CF-18 fighters under a C$18 million ($16 million) contract from prime contractor L-3 MAS. CAE will also produce a C-130J fuselage trainer for the US Air Force under a Lockheed Martin contract.
