Israel's Elbit Systems is to supply the Uzbekistan air force with full-motion mission simulators for the Mil Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters under a $6.5 million contract from the US Department of State. Boeing has received a $60.5 million contract to modernise additional US Air Force Northrop T-38 trainers under the T-38C avionics update programme. Rockwell Collins is to deliver 178 flat-panel colour displays to upgrade the cockpits of US Air Force Boeing F-15Es under a $14 million contract. The programme to replace 130mm (5in) cathode ray tubes with liquid crystal displays in both USAF and international F-15s is expected to grow to more than 750 displays. General Electric has received a $45.2 million contract for full-rate production of 97 T58 engine reliability improvement programme module kits to replace the gas generators of T-58-16 turboshafts powering US Marine Corps Boeing CH-46Es. DRS Technologies is to produce Concord intelligence broadcast receivers for installation on US Army special operations helicopters under a $62 million contract. Boeing is to produce 86 Harpoon Block II anti-ship missile retrofit kits for Egypt (62) and the United ArabEmirates (24) under a $10.9 million contract.
