The Czech Republic has issued a request for proposals (RFP for 24 or 36 supersonic fighters to replace the last of the country's Soviet-era combat types. Bidders must respond by the end of May with the government aiming to make a decision by year-end. The government is seeking industrial offsets worth 150% of the predicted CKr100 billion ($2.5 billion) cost. At least 20% of the offset must be aerospace or defence related.
