Delta Air Lines today unveiled plans to expand its BusinessElite offering from its New York JFK hub through the addition of lie-flat beds on flights to London Heathrow.
Starting in September, the carrier also plans to offer new BusinessElite service on transcontinental flights from JFK to Los Angeles and San Francisco. The seats featured on the transcontinental flights offer 150 degrees of recline and 55in of pitch, which is the same seat Delta offers in business class on Boeing 757-200ERs used on international flights. Personal on-demand games, music and movies are available at every seat.
Delta also plans to feature Wi-FI access for both business and economy class customers on all flights from New York to Los Angeles and San Francisco by year-end.
For the JFK-London flights the fully lie-flat beds have 180 degrees of recline and 77-82in pitch in BusinessElite
Delta also plans to add BusinessElite lie-flat beds from Minneapolis to London-Heathrow in September.
