DHL has announced the launch of Airport to Door Express, offering the carrier’s ease-of-use and speed advantage, along with the transportation needs of importers under traditional shipping terms.

The new service is claimed to be particularly user-friendly, meeting the needs of customers who usually import from overseas suppliers using free carrier (FCA) Incoterms (International Commercial Terms) that do not require door-to-door transport.

With the Airport to Door Express service, DHL aims to tap into an industry segment estimated to comprise 50% of the total cross-border airfreight market in Asia Pacific.

Airport to Door Express is launched in 13 markets in Asia Pacific covering Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. The product will be expanded to the rest of Asia Pacific and to other regions at a later stage.
