Austria's Diamond Aircraft Industries has received an order from French pilot training school EPAG for six DA40 TDI diesel piston singles. Delivery is due next February. The aircraft will replace EPAG's Apex Aviation Cap10s, EADS Socata TB9 Tampicos and TB20s. Replacement of the Raytheon Beech 58s is under consideration. EPAG is also eyeing the DA42 Twin Star, and is evaluating two aircraft at its Merville, France base. Meanwhile, Diamond has been appointed by Switzerland's Pilatus Aircraft to sell and distribute its PC-12 single-engined turboprop in Austria and Germany.
