QATAR ORDERS HONEYWELL
Honeywell has won an order to supply navigation equipment and data recorders for 24 aircraft for Qatar Airways in a deal worth more than $6.5 million. The suite of Honeywell products for Qatar's Airbus A320/A321s includes air data inertial reference system, solid-state flight data recorder and solid-state cockpit voice recorder and Quantum of communication and navigation equipment. Deliveries continue through 2012. "Today's advanced inertial reference systems provide lower weight and power consumption to provide airline operators with a decreased cost of ownership," says Mike Madsen, vice-president airlines for Honeywell Aerospace.
