The UK Royal Aeronautical Society (stand W144) is seeking new members and offering special joining rates for show visitors. The society is highlighting its activities in the Middle East, including the local UAE branch, which is one of its most active. In addition there is a prize draw every day at the show providing visitors with the opportunity to win a free affiliate membership.


EURAVIA CLOSE TO SAUDI DEAL

Euravia Engineering (stand W130D), the UK turboprop and turboshaft MRO specialist, says it is in negotiations for the imminent establishment in Saudi Arabia of a new "state of the art" engine MRO facility for helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft engines. "The Middle East and, more specifically, the Gulf are emerging as the growth sectors for aerospace and for this reason we are cultivating long-term partnering arrangements with key strategic stakeholders in the region," says Euravia managing director Dennis Mendoros.


AVTRAC REGIONAL SERVICE

Using the Dubai show as its launch pad for the region, Avtrac (stand W122 B/C) has announced receipt of European Aviation Safety Agency Part M approval with airworthiness review certification privilege. Part M approval enables the specialist aircraft technical consultancy to endorse aircraft airworthiness on an annual basis for the majority of aircraft types on behalf of aircraft operators and lessors. "Dubai and the Middle East is an ever-expanding market for commercial aviation and its related services and Avtrac is keen to establish its world-renowned reputation here," says Iain Barry, managing director of Avtrac UK.
