Companies from Belarus to the United Kingdom gathered at the Sheraton Dubai Creek yesterday (Saturday 10 November) to discuss latest developments in the regional unmanned aircraft vehicle systems market.
Organised by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the one-day Unmanned Systems Middle East 2007 conference looked both at the systems available for, and being developed in, the region.
The conference was the official unmanned event of the airshow and looked at the use of UAVs in aerial, maritime and research & development roles throughout the region. Specific topics included the strategic value of unmanned systems to the UAE and the potential use of airships and aerostats in the Gulf. AUVSI is at the show.
