Results EADS announced strong first half-year revenues, up by one-third, but Airbus production will slow down as the company firms up future growth. Compared with the €10.6 billion ($9.4 billion) consolidated revenues of Aerospatiale, DaimlerChrysler and CASA for the first half of last year, this year's €14 billion conforms to the company's forecasts. Although all divisions except Space saw a rise, most of the jump is due to a big order intake for Airbus aircraft worth €38.8 billion, up half from last year. Despite this, the firm has acted cautiously to reduce Airbus production, reacting to expected order deferment by troubled airlines.
