EADS’s head of strategic co-ordination Jean-Louis Gergorin has resigned to defend himself against accusations made against him connected to the Clearstream scandal that has hit French politics. Senior politicians, civil servants and industry figures have faced investigations into allegations of bribery, some of which have subsequently been proved false. “Gergorin has asked to be relieved from his operational functions as head of strategic co-ordination of EADS with immediate effect. This is to enable him to devote as much time as is necessary to his personal defence against allegations that have become public recently,” says EADS.
