Aviation Partners has completed the first blended winglet retrofit for a European-registered Falcon 2000 series aircraft.

The 2000EX EASy aircraft - owned by Gator Aviation and operated by Jersey-based Aviation Beauport - had its winglets installed at Duncan Aviation's (stand 629) facility in Battle Creek, Michigan, in March.

It subsequently completed a nonstop, 7,070km (3,820nm) flight to Jersey from Sarasota, Florida.

High Mach blended winglets have been fitted on 14 Falcon 2000 series aircraft to date and installations are under way on three more.

TAG Aviation, which has a newly expanded maintenance facility in Geneva, carries out installations for operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The High Mach winglets are standard equipment on the 2000LX. Retrofit programmes are in development for Falcon 50 and 900 aircraft.
