Honeywell has added a runway analysis tool to its suite of pilot services. The new service is intended to enable pilots to determine the maximum allowable take-off and landing weights based on performance data cataloguing past incidences of critical engine failure and the associated airport/runway conditions and aircraft configurations.

Pilots are also provided with details on which runways can be used and the obstacle clearances that apply, as well as information on how much fuel to take on board in order to avoid the cost of offloading fuel due to weight limits. The service deploys a database of 16,400 runways and 5,700 airports.
