The owner of Cambridge airport, Marshall Aerospace, will issue a tender later this year seeking bidders for a £17 million ($25.8 million) improvement project at the site, as it looks to attract more business aviation traffic.
The works include the construction of a £16 million runway, capable of handling up to a Boeing 767-sized aircraft, and a fuel farm.
Earlier in May, the airport opened a dedicated £1 million passenger terminal, complete with a JETability-branded VIP business lounge.
