BizJet International, Lufthansa Technik's wholly owned US subsidiary, has received its first Airbus A318 Elite from Europe at its Tulsa completions centre.

Speaking at EBACE this morning, the company says this move signals the start of the planned gradual takeover of Elite completions from Lufthansa Technik's completion site in Hamburg. The first aircraft is scheduled to be delivered back to Airbus in autumn with a Federal Aviation Administration- and European Aviation Safety Agency-supplemental type certificate.

BizJet has definite orders for six A318 Elite aircraft.
