BAE Systems Australia's electronic warfare capability looks set to grow with new work on the RAAF's Boeing F/A-18 Hornet upgrade programme. It also stands to gain from supporting the electronic warfare aspects of a pan-BAE Systems bid into the Korean helicopter programme.

BAE Systems had already been awarded a contract worth more than A$120 million (50 million) by the Australian Defence Force to design, integrate and install advanced electronic warfare self-protection systems for the Sikorsky S-70A Black Hawk and Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter fleets as part of 'Project Echidna'.
