Virgin America and Emirates are expanding their partnership by allowing their frequent flyer members to earn and redeem points on each other's networks.
The two airlines already have an interline partnership.
"Through our partnership with Emirates, we're able to offer enhanced international travel options; Emirates' network can take Elevate members to the Middle East and beyond," says Phil Seward, Virgin America's director of guest loyalty. Elevate is the name of Virgin America's frequent flyer programme.
Emirates is the fifth carrier to have reciprocal frequent flyer benefits on Virgin America's programme. The others are Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Australia, Singapore Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.
