Eurocopter has opened a support centre in Perth for helicopters used in offshore oil support operations.
"Several companies operate more than 25 17/19-passenger helicopters of Eurocopter's Super Puma family," says Eurocopter.
"The aircraft provide airlift supply and personnel transport operations for what is Australia's largest oil and gas resource development. With prompt, safe and effective support services readily at hand; this development is expected to significantly grow over the next three to four years."
The support centre comprises over 720m² (7,750ft²) of office, training, maintenance and warehousing facilities.
