Eurofighter International will hold its first board meeting in Turin, Italy, on 4 November. The London-based company is taking over sales and marketing for the Typhoon from the partner companies - Alenia, British Aerospace, CASA and DaimlerChrysler Aerospace (Dasa).

Cesare Gianni, chief executive of Lockheed Martin Alenia Tactical Transport Systems has been appointed president, while other key appointments include Andy Lewis and Rob New from BAe, who will head sales, and contracts and finance, respectively. Manfred Wolf from Dasa will take charge of campaigns. A core staff will be large enoughto run two campaigns simultaneously. The four partners will have the same shareholding as in the main Eurofighter.
