Air cargo carrier Evergreen International applied for a federal loan guarantee. The Air Transportation Stabilization board has granted one loan, of $429 million, to America West, but is considering requests from Vanguard Airlines and Frontier Flying Service (no relation to Frontier Airlines). World Airways has said it will seek loan backing.
