Kawasaki Heavy Industries will deliver 46 MD Explorer transmissions to MD Helicopters up to the end of 2002 under a new long-term deal with the Mesa, Arizona-based firm. Deliveries for 2003 and after are being finalised. The firm has deals with Turkish Aerospace Industries for Explorer fuselages and Kaman for single-engine airframes.
