Boeing is to supply passenger-to-freight modification services for 19 additional MD-11s for FedEx, it was announced at the show yesterday. Boeing Airplane Services will supply new parts and airplane-specific engineering needed to convert the MD-11 passenger airplanes into freighter.
Boeing is currently under a separate contract to modify 11 MD-11s for FedEx, in addition to eight MD-11s that have already been delivered.
