Belgian software specialist Samtech has announced Airbus is to use its improved structure analysis multidisciplinary integration (ISAMI) structure analysis product for its A350XWB.

The software will be used by Airbus for the composites and metallic structural sizing of the aircraft, and it is the first time ISAMI has been used in a commercial environment.

The purpose will be to integrate the Airbus aircraft structure analyses in one single computer-aided engineering framework where all computation processes, methods, software tools and data are fully embedded.
