Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering has signed a memorandum of understanding with Chongqing Airport Group and Chongqing Airlines to establish a joint venture aircraft maintenance facility at Chongqing Jiangbei International airport.
The facility, to be called Chongqing (GAMECO) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, will provide line maintenance and aircraft on the ground support, base maintenance, component repair/overhaul and other maintenance-related services for ChongQing Airlines, existing GAMECO customers and third-party customers. GAMECO is a joint venture between China Southern Airlines and Hutchison Whampoa (China) from Hong Kong.
