Italian aerospace always has a big presence at Farnborough and among the country's contingent this year is Mecaer Aviation Group. The diversified company - represented by marketing and sales director Lou Prudore - is pushing its "integrated aircraft solutions", which include landing gear systems, VIP helicopter interior and flight control capabilities.
Mecaer recently won the deal to supply the integrated landing system for the new Bell 525 Relentless helicopter. The firm has been expanding its interior completion partnership with AgustaWestland, opening an interiors shop at the rotorcraft manufacturer's plant in Yeovil, UK, earlier this year. It has also launched a design studio in Rome to support its completions division.
