Kansas governor Sam Brownback and state commerce secretary Pat George are leading a delegation to the air show, as part of moves to promote Kansas to companies looking to relocate or expand operations. The delegation, representatives from the Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition (GWEDC) and several aviation businesses is present to help Kansas companies increase their exposure to international markets. Aircraft manufacturing accounts for $2.12 billion/year in exports for Kansas, which accounts for more than 40% of the world's general aviation production.
