Loadmasters, provider of aircraft weight and balance services, is launching a new load and trim service offering.
The new service enables the company to provide bespoke documentation for every aircraft type and model, so that any changes to an aircraft or the way it is operated can be accounted without delay.
Load and trim sheets record the weight and position of the load carried by an aircraft. This is added to its basic weight to give a final weight and centre of gravity. Through such calculations, a pilot can ascertain whether an aircraft is being operated within manufacturers' limits and if it is safe to fly.
The process also helps in ensuring that an aircraft is flying in the most economical way possible.
Steve Cook, managing director, Loadmasters, says: "Aside from private charter clients we also work with airlines and operating departments who subcontract work out to us during periods when their workload is high. Through our new load and trim service we can tailor the design and production of documents to each aircraft type and model with greater precision and efficiency."
Loadmasters ensures that design and production of load and trim sheets is carried out in compliance with International Air Transport Association Airport Handling Manual AHM560 standards.
