Tactair Fluid Controls has launched a new technology programme that will expand its capabilities to include electro-mechanical, optionally actuated landing gear and door uplocks. The company wants to offer a choice between electro-mechanical release and the traditional mechanically actuated release. The US-based company says the electro-mechanical option could give the airframer increased design flexibility and opportunities for weight savings.
