BRITISH AEROSPACE HAS successfully conducted the first air launch of its Advanced Short-Range Air-to-Air Missile (ASRAAM). The test launch was carried out at Eglin AFB, Florida, from a Lockheed Martin F-16. The company is now preparing to send further test rounds of the missile to the USA for fully-guided launches early in 1996.
