China sale - China Eastern Airlines has agreed to sell its 13 Boeing MD-82s to General Electric Capital Aviation Services. At the same time it will lease 10 Airbus A320-family aircraft, for delivery from next year until 2002. Indian lease - Sahara India Airlines has leased a Boeing 737-700 from Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services and is in talks to acquire more new 737s over the next 12 months. SIA leaseback - Singapore Airlines (SIA) has secured a sale and leaseback agreement on a Boeing 747-400 - its eighth since the start of the regional economic downturn in mid-1997.
