The Bombardier Q400 featured on static display is the third of 17 to be delivered to UK regional low-fares airline FlyBE.

After the show the aircraft will return to Canada for final testing before being delivered to the carrier on 27 July.

It will enter service at the airline's Birmingham hub on 5 August.

Order

The first and second aircraft in FlyBE's order will begin operating with the carrier in July.

One more Q400 willbe delivered this year, with eight in 2004, two in 2005 and the final three in 2006.

The airline also has 20 options on the type, which can be exercised up until 2008.

Last year FlyBE changed its business model to adopt the practices of low-cost carriers. Since then, FlyBE has grown to become the UK's third-largest low fares airline.

It will carry more than 3.5 million passengers this year.
