Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines will suspend service on five routes from its base from Denver in early January 2013.
The airline confirms that it will stop operating its flights to Akron-Canton (Ohio), Louisville (Kentucky), Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), Provo (Utah) and Sacramento (California).
Of the five routes, Denver to Sacramento has the highest number of frequencies, with Frontier operating on the route 16 times weekly. It flies twice daily to Akron-Canton, and operates once daily to Louisville, Philadelphia and Provo, schedules in Innovata show.
Frontier says that it is "consolidating our northeastern Ohio flights out of Cleveland", referring to the non-stop Denver to Cleveland route that it will launch from 9 January. Frontier will operate four times weekly on that route.
