Landmark Aviation is the new name for US business aviation services company Garrett/Piedmont Hawthorne/Associated. The new brand will debut at next week’s National Business Aviation Association show in Orlando, Florida.

The rebranding comes a year after private equity firm Carlyle Group acquired maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) specialist Garrett Aviation Services from General Electric, to add to its 1995 purchase of fixed-based operator (FBO) Piedmont Hawthorne and 2000 acquisition of Associated Air Center, known for VIP completions of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

Landmark is North America’s first fully integrated FBO/MRO network, says Sean Vick, executive vice-president sales and marketing. Customer surveys conducted before Carlyle bought Garret indicated growing interest in a full-service provider. The large-aircraft completion business will retain the Associated name.
