General Atomics has received a subcontract worth $53 million to supply intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance payloads for the Iraqi air force's future fleet of five Beechcraft King Air 350ER special mission aircraft. The company will deliver five Lynx synthetic-aperture radar/ground moving target indication and L-3 Wescam MX-15 electro-optical/infrared sensors under the deal, plus datalink equipment and ground stations. Prime contractor Raytheon Aircraft was awarded a $132 million deal in March to deliver the five ISR aircraft and one King Air 350 transport from late this year.
