The French export-credit agency COFACE has made an amendment to the credit facility agreement it has with the mobile communications satellite firm Globalstar. This amendment extends the initial principal repayment deadline to either June 2013 or eight months after the fourth launch of the second generation of Globalstar satellites, whichever is the earlier. The original payment date was June 2012. The change also includes a reduction in the required covenants to the 2011 and 2012 Adjusted Consolidated EBITDA targets for the firm. Globalstar entered into the $586.3 million senior secured credit facility agreement which was guaranteed by COFACE in June 2009.
