A two-stage Boeing Delta II 7420 booster with four strap-on boosters delivered four Globalstar worldwide mobile communications satellites into 1,250km circular Earth orbits after launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on 24 April. A Delta II launched the first four satellites in February. A further 48 are scheduled for launch, 12 each on three Ukrainian Zenit and four each on three Russian Soyuz boosters from Baikonur.
