Italian luxury automotive parts supplier Golden Car is developing three versions of the F.30 light aircraft to widen its appeal in the general aviation market.
A kit variant, a fixed-gear, light sport aircraft version and a factory built/fully certificated model of the Stelio Frati design are now being flown at the developer's facility in Voghera, south of Milan.
The all-metal, 100hp (75kW) Rotax 912ULS-powered F.30 can cruise at 130kt (240km/h) and has a stall speed of 35kt. It also has a variable-pitch propeller and a retractable gear.
Golden Car diversified into aircraft development three years ago following a collaboration with Frati on the F.30.
