The Grob Aerospace SPn all-composite light business jet is built for speed inside as well as out, with a sporty interior styled by the Porsche Design Studio. The supercar-inspired new cabin is on show in public for the first time at the German manufacturer’s booth.

“Porsche Design fully grasped how we envisaged the cabin experience for our customers,” says Grob chief executive Niall Olver. “It’s all about optimising space, making the passengers comfortable and giving the SPn a truly distinctive look.”

A new departure for the eminent automotive marque, the interior features high-gloss wood veneer, metal finishing, and alcantara and soft leather seating material.

It also has new fully articulated seats manufactured by Naples-based cabin specialist Geven. The seat design is certificated to FAR 23 and a maximum load of 21g. It offers full recline, swivel, and forward and side tracking, and has a movable headrest and armrests. The forward seats can be folded to create two lie-flat beds.

After the show Grob will take the mock-up to the USA, where it will be shown at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture in Oshkosh.
