Harrods Aviation has joined forces with cabin interiors specialist MacCarthy Interiors to offer refurbishment and support services for business jets. This is the first foray into the cabin interiors market for the UK's largest fixed base operator (FBO) chain, formerly Metro Business Aviation, and forms part of a wider strategy to offer a one- stop shop for its customers.

"Our decision was a response to customer demand. They bring their aircraft to us for maintenance and then have to go elsewhere for interior work," says Harrods Aviation chief executive Steve Grimes. Harrods Aviation and Redhill-based MacCarthy Interiors will provide the service at the former's London Stansted and Luton facilities as well as remotely throughout Europe.

Grimes says: "Customers now have the opportunity to organise and control their cabin maintenance programme, from overnight repairs to full interior upgrades, through one source. "
